Lace is intricate, beautiful and wonderful to create. This workshop is a simple beginning to the captivating art of Torchon lace that either a novice or experienced crafter will enjoy creating. Using only two stitches, you can learn to make lace the way it was made hundreds of years ago. The lace project will be a delicate and colorful piece. Join us to simplify the mystery of handmade lace.
The price includes your lace pillow, bobbins, lessons 1 & 2, patterns and instructions, thread and pins.
Please Bring: A pair of scissors, good eye glasses, a notebook and a pen.
Katherine Hinton has been doing bobbin lace for about 15 years and has demonstrated lace many places for all of those years. She has won ribbons at the Ravalli County Fair for some of her lace.
Dynelle Smith is a self taught lace maker of several years, driven by the love of creating handmade lace. She is excited to share this unique art form.
