Introduction to Eco Printing

Friday June 9th

9 am – noon then 2pm – 5pm

This is an introductory class into printing with natural materials for exceptional results.

We will spend the day completing a number of projects which give good experience in preparing bundles that give good contact between fabric and plants to make beautiful prints. Equipment and supplies that each student needs to bring: Craft Scissors, Large rubber bands (size #64 from Staples work nicely), Strong heavy Twine (I use twisted sisal twine.) Do not bring bailing twine. Garden gloves, Apron, 2 containers – plastic tubs work well 5 or 6 dowels (3/4″ x 12″-14″) Plastic sheeting (inexpensive plastic drop cloth) All other items needed will be provided by the instructor, to include: all fabric, dyes, gloves, mordant, leaves and zip ties.
